Mike Flannagan is responsible for products that enable the digital transformation of businesses around the world. Mike’s team is driving the strategy behind the SAP Leonardo system, which unites key technologies – data intelligence, Big Data, analytics, machine learning, the internet of things (IoT), blockchain, and cloud – to find repeatable solutions to the toughest business problems across numerous industries. Mike also serves on the board of directors for the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data, a growing network of more than 250 organizations that act as data champions and harness the data revolution for sustainable development around the world.
Mike is active in the startup community as an angel investor, mentor, and board member. Prior to joining SAP, he served as an advisor to machine learning startup DataRPM (acquired by Progress Software) and was corporate vice president and general manager of the Data & Analytics Software Group at Cisco Systems. Mike co-founded Challenge Up!, an Internet of Things-focused startup accelerator, with executives from Intel, Deutsche Telekom, and Cisco Systems. He holds multiple patents and is a published author and frequent speaker at industry events.
Mike was a business major at The University of Texas at San Antonio and went on to earn his MBA from Auburn University, where he now serves on advisory boards for the College of Business and the Graduate School.
