In recent years, we have seen an explosion of regulatory technology, or “RegTech.” At our second annual RegTech Data Summit, we’ll explore the intersection of regulatory reporting, emerging technology, and open data standards with financial regulators, industry leaders, RegTech experts, academics, and open data advocates.
On April 23, 2019, join the Data Coalition and DFIN for our second annual RegTech Data Summit. which will bring regulatory and data leaders together in the heart of the U.S. financial industry in order to explore how regulation, technology, and data can unite to solve challenges facing government, regulators, and industry.
The inaugural RegTech Data Summit’s thesis was that regulatory rules, technology, and data must be modernized in a coordinated fashion. If all three areas are modernized in tandem, new RegTech solutions will flourish, reducing reporting duplication, minimizing reporting errors, and enabling automation.
Progress in RegTech has been seen in the private sector as access to quality data improve. This progress has not been mirrored in the private sector here in the United States, but the potential to improve government efficiency is not far off.
