Texas Data Demo Day: Transparency Outside, Efficiency Inside

Join us and Grant Thornton on May 10 to explore the benefits of open data.

Wednesday, May 10, 2017, Trinity Hall, Austin, TX

Across Texas, state agencies and local governments are modernizing the way they manage information. By collecting and sharing information as open data – accessible to all, electronically standardized – governments can be truly transparent to the Texans they serve. But open data doesn’t just deliver transparency; it simplifies internal processes, too.

The Data Coalition is pleased to host the Texas Data Demo Day, an opportunity to bring together agencies and legislators to explore the benefits of open data. Our panelists will share stories of open data success sourced from different branches and functions of government – but sharing common themes of external transparency and internal efficiency.

Our exhibitors will show how, once governments choose to standardize and publish their information as open data, technological solutions can republish, analyze, and automate.
